After 16 years in the sport, Maggie Mac Neil announced her retirement last week at age 24. The accolades poured in on social media from around the swimming world, and Maggie came to her decision after much thought and careful consideration. After obtaining a pyschology degree from the University of Michigan and a Masters degree in sports administration from Louisiana State University, while at the same time reaching the pinnacle of her sport, Maggie is ready to pursue her next dream, a law degree and a career in sports law....

Congratulations to LAC alumni Debra Wurzburger and Chris Chalmers on their induction into the Ontario Aquatic Hall of Fame on September 21. Among their many aquatic accomplishments, Debra and Chris both represented Canada at the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, South Korea. Debra also represented Canada at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, while Chris was team captain at the University of Southern California. Debra and Chris were both Canadian champions and record-holders in the distance freestyle events, and are the 9th and 10th LAC alumni to gain induction into the Hall...
